PLEASE CONTACT OUR MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY SIMON SMEE by email if you would like to join us as a prospective member. Please email him at 'membership@towcesterchoralsociety.org.uk' with your contact details so we can update you and formally invite you to join us at the session.
Towcester Choral Society is a mixed voice choir with a membership of enthusiastic singers performing a wide variety of music in Towcester and South Northamptonshire since 1900, which has recently included Handel's Messiah with orchestra and soloists, and two compositions by the much accredited modern composer, Karl Jenkins', his 'Stella Natalis' and 'The Armed Man'.
In addition, TCS members regularly join singers from other choirs to perform in such prestigious venues as the Royal Albert Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall.
We welcome singers of all levels of experience, from those who have only sung in the shower to experienced voices. It is not necessary to read music, and those members who joined us with no technical knowledge have picked it up over time and blossomed as accomplished singers. Our Musical Director Helen Swift, who takes us from strength to strength, believes everyone can sing given the opportunity and the right guidance.

Our Easter concert and first of 2022 , we performed at St Lawrences Church, Towcester on Saturday 9th April 2022.
We loved performing to a large audience and welcomed the Brackley Chamber Music Club for a mixed programme which included Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, Schubert's Trout Quintet movements 2, 3 and 4 as well as the Faure Requium. Thank you to everyone that came along, we really appreciated your support and look forward to seeing you again for our Summer concert in July 2022! |
