Registered Charity No. 1145755
Towcester Choral Society is a mixed voice choir with a membership of around sixty enthusiastic singers and has been performing a wide variety of religious and secular music in Towcester and South Northamptonshire since 1900. In addition, TCS regularly joins singers from other choirs to perform in such prestigious venues as the Royal Albert Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall and in venues overseas. Here, we get the chance to sing with a professional orchestra and conductor and to tackle works which are beyond the scope of a small community choir. Singing Handel’s ‘Messiah’ from scratch in the Royal Albert Hall is a regular fixture in our calendar.
We welcome singers of all levels of experience and have built up a strong reputation for quality and variety under our musical director, Helen Swift who takes us from strength to strength.
We rehearse in Towcester on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm and our season runs from early September until July.
We have already started rehearsals for our Easter concerts.
If you would like to join us to sing please contact our Secretary, Ann Ward.
